INDO ASIAN FUSEGEAR NET PROFIT UP 27% IN Q3

Indo Asian Fusegear Limited, India's leading manufacturer Electrical equipment and the only integrated manufacturer of Compact Fluorescent Lamps, announced vastly improved results for the third quarter of the current financial year ending December 31, 2005. Revenues during the quarter were higher by 29% at Rs. 41.50 crores compared to corresponding quarter revenues of Rs. 32.25 crores.

Operating profit during the Q3 rose by 25% to Rs. 4.49 crores against last year Q3 of Rs. 3.60 crores. Net Profit is sharply higher by 27% at Rs. 4.20 crores over the corresponding period figure of Rs.3.29 crores last year.

In the first Nine-months of the current year, revenues were at Rs. 109.25 crores and Net Profit at Rs. 11.80 crores compared to last year's nine-month figures of Rs. 92.11 crores and Rs.9.01 crores respectively.

Mr. V.P. Mahendru, Chairman and Managing Director, explained, “We are setting up three large units for the manufacture of Switchgear, Lighting products and Wires and Cables in the tax free zone of Uttaranchal. These units shall commence commercial production early 2006 and contribute substantially to the turnover and profitability henceforth

We are moving ahead to become a global brand as our strong marketing network is expanding across the world. Also, our intensified internal cost reduction and capacity expansion at the various manufacturing operations at Jalandhar, Parwanoo and Noida have enabled us to embark on a high-growth path. In view of the burgeoning power sector growth in India and overseas, including the consequent fast growth for Power Distribution Equipment, the demand for our world class Power Distribution Equipment and CFLs have increased. We foresee a tremendous opportunity for our future growth in the domestic as well as overseas markets”.
